ABOUT
Dr Andrew Leach is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. His expertise is in computational chemistry particularly applied to mechanism and medicinal chemistry. He is an inventor of capivasertib (an approved treatment for breast cancer) and a director and co-founder of Medchemica limited that provides software and services to the pharmaceutical industry. His current research is supported by EPSRC, BBSRC, MRC, NC3Rs and Wellcome Trust. He is the first year tutor for the Manchester MPharm degree and an enthusiastic member of Sale Brass Band.
